See, the first question he should have asked would have kept him from needing to ask the others. The first question should have been "Does my mother give a rat's rear end what any other mothers are doing at this moment?" He could then have answered himself with a resounding "No!" I'm thinking he would have saved himself a lot of frustration, or at least the energy expended during his pouting and puffing session. I remember the last time I asked him to take a picture for me, and I NEVER saw that picture. From now on, I'm not leaving it to chance, or in this case, my teenage son. I know I'm getting old because the mere act of breathing on certain days is a source of great embarrassment and anxiety for him. When I was younger, and he was younger--I was funny and cool. Now I'm just a weird lady who takes too many pictures and talks about blogging. "MOM, please don't blog. Whatever you do, please do not blog. You do not need to do that. You are not funny." I just sent him out of the room with the promise of a late-night milkshake run in 30 minutes, just so I can finish this post. He doesn't know I'm blogging. He'll be mortified when he finds out.
Back to my pictures. I think it's interesting how the sea and the sky look the same when they are disturbed.
Interesting and embarrassing!

Aww~ My son is 4 and already does some of that "You're embarrassing me" stuff. I think the pictures are awesome and I would have done the same thing! The other moms probably don't stop to "smell the roses" like we do! It's funny that as kids we think that life only begins when we are born into the world,... when in reality, our parents lives were going on for a long time before we came along!!
So right! He's funny though, with mood changes all day long. We just got back from McDonald's and he's happy as can be. A couple of nights ago he said "Remember when you used to give me piggy back rides?" Then tried to put his nearly 6 foot frame on my back. Goofy!
Oh gosh I'm not ready for V to vocalize her distaste for my behaviors and blogging ways.
Keep doing you.
